Sacred Sex, Book Review

By October 11, 2012Book Reviews

Tony Evans book Sacred Sex is just three short chapters, and right to the point. His topics include Sex As God Intended It, The Value of Sexual Purity and Keeping Sex Sacred. The book reads like a sermon message and is easy to understand. He uses metaphors from football and sports, as well as scripture examples to support his main points.

As a womens ministry leader, I found the book useful for counseling others. Women often ask me about this sensitive subject. The book is a handy guide and I would recommend that women seeking a deeper understanding to get a copy and read it. Men will probably enjoy it more because it’s written from a male perspective, though it was written for both audiences.

As a parent, I wanted to expand my knowledge for future conversations with my daughters. In a modern world when there is so much pressure for sex outside marriage, how do I explain the value and importance of God’s design and purpose? This book answers that question.

If you’re single then you’ll want to read the book Sacred Sex by Tony Evans. If’ you’re married and struggle with porn or sex outside the marriage, then you’ll want to read this book. And if you’re a parent like me…you’ll want to read this book. It’s short, easy to read in an hour or two and packed with wisdom.
