After reading The Shelter of God’s Promises by Sheila Walsh I’m convinced the book was written with a loving heart. Each chapter and each promise was presented with an attitude of appreciation and love for Jesus. I found the book uplifting and a pleasure to read- so good that I carried it with me and did not want to put the book down.
In her book The Shelter of God’s Promises, Sheila Walsh covers a multitude of promises from scripture, and connects them with the life of modern woman. She uses an example from scripture and then compares with an example of life- such as a child with autism, a man who infected his wife with HIV or a woman living in her shame. In each example Sheila reminds us of God’s truth and warns us about the deceptions of Satan. I found the book to be centered on joy, hope and faith and a good reminder of what God has promised his children. At the end of the book is a study guide for a church group or home bible study.
