Womens Online Bible Study Two Year Anniversary

It’s amazing to me that I started blogging just two years ago, and a small passion has evolved into an international womens ministry. When I wrote my first blog post in July 2009 and decided to lead an online bible study, I had no idea I’d be a ministry leader with 18,000+ followers on Twitter and 2,000+ blog subscribers from around the world. We’re listed in Google as number one for “womens bible study” and have built a reputation for our ministry.

My guiding verse has been John 3:30 NIV “He must become greater; I must become less.” When I look at the success of the Womens Bible Café I know this is God’s success, not mine. We’re celebrating an anniversary of His blessing and praying for His continued favor as we lead women in online bible studies.

We’ve had women from around the world participate in our online bible studies. Some are moms, grandmothers and college students. Some are single women, married women, separated or divorced women. We’ve had sisters in different states study online together, and mothers study with their daughters away at college. As we gather together we know that together we share a common interest: we’re all Daughters of the King.

As we read and discuss scripture together, we celebrate our Christian faith and grow in bible knowledge. Some women are new Christians, a few have been deep into the Word, while others were raised in the church from birth. Some women are pastor’s wives and others are working in international ministry. We’ve got working women, homeschool moms, retired women, college students and women in financial need. We’re a reflection of God’s children- and we gather together at the table to read His Word.

Thank you to each woman who has participated and made our bible studies depth-filled. You inspire us with your comments, your continued participation and your covering of prayers.

Thank you to our pastor friends, Twitter friends, Facebook Friends, church friends, worship leaders and authors- all who’ve promoted us with their tweets and posts.

Thank you to Pam Case, Shannon Barr, Bridget Haymond, Marie Wikle, Pastor Mike and Richard Mayhan for contributing their ideas and time.

Thank you to Linda at Ekko Web Solutions for keeping our site updated and beautiful.

Thank you to Darren Rowse for publishing the book Problogger which helped me to create this site.

Thank you to Debbie Alsdorf for the book A Different Kind of Wild. When I read it I remember asking God “you’re not going to make me lead a women’s bible study, are You?” He did… and He equipped me for it.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed- God has answered.

Happy Anniversary!

    Hi Christine!

Although I’ve been somewhat quiet this season, I am still faithfully following this ministry. Each week, I anxiously await my updates from the cafe. I love, love, love this site and the work that you do here. Bible study is life blood, and being able to connect with others who desire to grow in knowledge and in truth…well, that’s an added bonus.

Keep up the great work. All glory to God!

I to stumbled on this site about a year and half ago, and pass on by. Than I stumbled onto it again and stayed so God brought me here and here I will stay. The Lord knows what is best for us. I have told many people about this site and what It means to me. I am happy to stay I am glad this site is a ‘No Shame” zone, or I would be in trouble…….I like to speak my mind and can get on my band box as some of you know. Chistine is a woman after God’s heart, and a wonderful leader. I would not be where I am today without her and her friendship. Please Christine keep up the good work and please always remember you are a great teacher and friend. Blessing to you.

I stumbled on this website several months ago and it was God’s perfect timing that Christine came into my life. I am now into my 2nd online bible study and enjoy them so much. I have found that God and I have developed a relationship that in all the time going to group bible studies, I had held back. When it is just God and me, I open up, I pour out my heart and can finally say, we are geting to know one another and my Love for God and my craving to be with Him has grown! I enjoy learning from what others share every week and find that the studies keep me focused on building that relationship with God. Thank you so much Christine for what you have created, what you are growing in all of us and what you have sacrificed to do what God has asked. Love to you and looking forward to growing in Christ with you! Julie

This site has been more than a blessing to me – it has been an answer to prayer. I have learned so much in our studies. These studies have helped me through some of the most difficult days in my life . . .and studying His word have given me the strength, courage and insight to go on. SO . ..thank you to everyone who helps to makes this site to work – and a special thank you to Christine for all you do!

God Bless you – and may He continue to bless you in your ventures. My question is “can anyone write a blog to be used as bible study? Or blog with a “poem” or something of that sort? How does one do that?
I enjoy your site and have told so many of my friends about you.

I recommend reading the book Problogger by Darren Rowse. You’ll find the answers there and he’ll guide you from creating a blog to writing content and generating followers.

    Hi Christine,

Congratulations Christine and everyone connected to this bible study and for giving glory to God in your wonderful letter! I am so blessed to have come across your bible study on-line and greatly needed ministry for women. The women who participate have been so encouraging and wonderful. You have set the tone for this ministry, and it shows with your compassion and love for each lady on this bible web-site. It is so awesome to see how the Lord is using you so mightily, and inspiring! This is one of my favorite quotes:

    F – Fantastic
    A – Adventure
    I – In
    T – Trusting
    H – Him

    The Lord Bless You!

Here’s to many, many more years and studies!
