We are blessed to have these women volunteer their time at the Womens Bible Cafe as our Small Group Leaders. The role of the small group leader is to help you stay on track and encourage you to complete your bible study. She is praying for you by name and will communicate with you by email. Here is a little information about our leaders.
Small Group Leaders
Amy lives in central Florida with her husband of 6 years. She enjoys participating in womens bible studies. She loves singing and writing and has been involved with music ministry for many years. She currently works from home and likes to walk her ”labradorable” retriever during breaks. Her favorite scripture is Phillipians 4:6-7. ” Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Carla lives in Cincinnati, OH and has been active in women’s ministry and bible study for a number of years. She is the mom of 6 amazing kids, two homemade and four adopted with special needs. She is looking forward to the arrival of her first grandbaby this spring. She and her husband are natives of Connecticut and have moved around the country numerous times during their 25 years of marriage. As a result, one of her passions is ministry to those women whose circumstances make it challenging to feel connected to a local church. She also works part time as a hospice nurse. Her life verse is Psalm 46:10 – Be still and know that I am God.
Christine lives in the California Bay Area and has been participating in womens bible studies for more than 10 years. Married 19 years, she is the mom of two adorable daughters, two spoiled dogs and a bunny rabbit. She also works full time as a REALTOR at RE/MAX. Her life verse is Deut 6:5 -Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and strength.
Cindy lives in Otterville, IL and has been participating in womens bible studies for several years. Married 19 years, she is a mom to two wonderful children (Aleisha,15 and Johnny, 9), and two spoiled dogs (Shiloh and Maddie). She also works full-time as an Executive Assistant for FamilyFarms Group. Her life verse is: For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
Denise is from the Washington DC Metro area. She has been in Bible studies all of her life. Her and her husband have 7 children ranging from late teens thru adults and 4 awesome grandchildren. They also have two Pekingese furbabies, Sophia & Milo. Denise worked with special needs children before chronic migraines caused her to stop working. Her live verse is Ephesians 4:31-32 (ESV) 31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Elsa has been participating and attending Women’s bible studies for several years. Living in Northern California all her life, she loves to travel with her husband and shares her home with one adorable Dorky (Dachshund and Yorkie Mix) named Leo. She has two wonderful adult children and a much-loved grandson. She also works full-time as an office manager for a local billing company and loves to encourage her staff and those she meets with the Word of God. Her Life verse is Romans 12:12-Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Jennifer has been participating in womens bible studies for several years. Married 20 years, 1 spoiled cat. In addition, on the side she sells tupperware and creative memories. Her life verse is Psalm 23:1 (NKJV) The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Lakecia lives in Montgomery, Alabama and is a wife, mom, and full-time college administrator. She enjoys studying and teaching God’s word to children and women. She loves to read and enjoys learning often attending conferennces, workshops, and training seminars for personal and professional development. Her life verse is Jeremiah 29:11:”For I know the plans I have for you, declares the lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
LaTanya has been serving in the ministry for over 25 years. She serves alongside her husband pastoring the Tree of Life Church in Texas. She has been married for 18 years, has two adult children, and a very spoiled & loved Shi Tzu! LaTanya also loves working full time in a public school and considers it a tremendous outreach opportunity. Her life verse is Jude 24, 25 – “Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Rhonda lives in the Charleston, SC area and is the mother of two adult children, and nana to a six year old girl, 2 yr old boy, and cranky Chihuahua. She is a licensed professional counselor and disabilities advocate (her son has autism and grandson has Downs Syndrome). Isaiah 40:31 ESV ” But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint” is her favorite Bible verse.
Sharon lives in Newport News, Virginia and has been participating in Women’s Bible Studies for over 10 years. Married for 31 years and have two children, one son 30 and a daughter 28. I am. She is an Independent Comfort Consultant for Private Quarters. My life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to thine own understanding. In all they ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.
Sonya lives in Pennsylvania and has been participating in online Bible Studies for one year. She has been married for 15 years to her best friend and has 2 wonderful children, a girl and a boy, ages 10 and 17. Her family has an electric blue beta fish named Joey. Her life verse is Psalm 51:10 – “Create in me a pure heart O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” NIV
Stasia and her husband have served as missionaries in many countries for nearly the whole of their 28 year marriage. Currently, they serve in Jalisco, Mexico, where Stasia is the director of a center for the poor and abused in a narco controlled area. She is the homeschooling mother of six precious children ranging in ages from 5 to 26 years old, including one special needs daughter. Over two years back she began searching on the internet for a way to enrich her walk with the Lord because there was nothing available to encourage her as a missionary mom where she was. She gratefully stumbled upon Bible Cafe and has been hooked ever since on online Bible study. She cherishes strength and grace from Romans 5:5 during this season, “And hope does not disappoint us because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.” Visit her website at Hope-Grace
Traci is from Newport News Va, and has been teaching bible study for a couple of years now. She is married to her best friend, and the mother of five, not including a very spoiled malti-po Nevaeho. In her spare time, she is a full time student in the Master’s Program At Liberty, Religious Education. Here favorite life verse is Romans 8:28, “We all know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, those who are called according to His purpose.
