We’ve completed the womens bible study James, Mercy Triumphs written by Beth Moore with her daughter Melissa. In this 7-week bible study we examined the words of James, the brother of Jesus and saw his journey from an unbeliever to a man passionate about sharing his story of faith.
We had more than 300+ women participating from around the world and their participation and involvement made this an exciting womens online bible study. If you missed the chance to study James with us, you can visit these pages on our website to see what we discussed.

What Women Are Saying About the James, Mercy Triumphs Bible Study
We surveyed our bible study participants at the end of the James, Mercy Triumphs online bible study and here’s what they said about the study:
- 42% completed the study, 50% are still finishing the study and 8% dropped the study
-
I liked that I could do it at my own time and pace. I work too much to join a regular bible study group. But I learned a lot and absolutely love Beth Moore and anything she teaches.
-
I love it. The entire concept is brilliant and God-inspired. In fact, early last year in 2011, God put it on my heart to start an online women’s Bible study, since I’m already an online MBA professor and most of my students comment about how my classrooms feel like people are engaging as if they were in a classroom in person. Then I googled “online bible studies” and found you. No need to re-invent the wheel, since you were already doing it!!! What a blessing!
-
I love the recap/summary notes and the statements from the author
-
I like reading the blogs, the comments, and personal emails to keep me abreast and informed.
-
I like the convenience of being able to study at home, at a time that is best for me and still have an opportunity to hear other women’s thoughts and opinions – Bible studies are best when others have input.
-
The format was challenging and the accountability was great. It helped me stay on track.
-
My church does not have a Bible study available right now and I am unable to attend BSF studies because of my nursing baby. I LOVE being able to attend on my own time and still have accountability at a time in my life when I have 4 little ones so it is hard for me to leave the house.
-
I thought the format was very user-friendly.
-
I enjoyed the interaction of reading other’s posts and posting, as well. The small group provides a support system and allows me to feel connected to other women.
-
Reading the summaries, comments and discussions on the web site. Knowing that I was studying with women from all cultures, walks of life and places throughout the country, but still had in common that we wanted to learn more about the Lord and what He has in store for us.
-
It’s easy to use and follow. Overview is thought provoking. I like being able to see other participants responses because I learn from this.
-
That it so simply fits into my life. I work weekend nights, so Sunday church is a hit or miss for me, and Sunday nights and Sunday school are out of the question. This gives me the opportunity to study the Word at 4:00 a.m, which is when I am awake and functioning.
-
I like reading what other people are thinking and the comments and I know we were supposed to check in once a week, but I do prefer the accountability of an in-person Bible study.
-
I like that even if you are behind you can feel part of the discussion and that there is no pressure. I like being able to do my study at a time that works into my schedule.
-
LOVED the study itself and felt the questions were varied enough to encompass everyone
-
I did it with my mother and that made it more personal.
Thank you to all the women who participated in the study of James here are the Womens Bible Cafe! We’re glad you shared your thoughts with us.
God is good, always!
