SSMT Verse 24- Final

It’s time for our final scripture memory verse with Beth Moore’s SSMT. For the past 12 months we’ve been learning two verses a month and arrived at our destination of 24 verses for the year. Beth did a wonderful job teaching us memorization techniques and keeping us on track. I hope you’ve enjoyed this as much as I have. During my bible study this week I heard Beth Moore say “when was the last time a scripture verse changed you?” She was discussing the impact a single verse can have on your life, or as some call it, a life verse. What I’ve enjoyed about memorizing these 24 verses is that I’ve been reflecting on a single verse and having an awareness of its impact in my daily life. As I memorize and meditate on it, I look for ways to apply it. I hope you’ve shared a similar experience and journey.

Please see Beth Moore’s last scripture memory verse on her blog.

It’s time to share your final scripture memory verse below. Post a comment with your name, where you are from and the verse you’re memorizing.

SSMT Verse 23

It’s time for the final two scripture memory verses with Beth Moore’s SSMT. You have only two more verses to memorize from now to the end of the year. By now you’re looking back over the other 22 scripture verses, remembering why you selected them and keeping the words inside your heart and mind. I pray you’re filled with these treasures as much as I am. During the year I’ve found opportunities to share my scripture verses with other people….something happens and the verse pops into my radar so I can share it with another person. Or I might use the Word as a sword to throw back to the devil when he’s messing with me. I’ll be joining Beth Moore in the 2012 SSMT, however I’ll be following the verses off her blog rather than leading it here.

Please see Beth Moore’s 23st scripture memory verse on her blog.

It’s time to share your scripture memory verse below. Post a comment with your name, where you are from and the verse you’re memorizing.

SSMT Verse 22

We’re finishing up our Scripture Memorization with Beth Moore’s SSMT. You have three more verses to memorize from now to the end of the year. When I look back into my SSMT journal I see 21 other verses I personally selected this year. As I look at the verse I clearly remember why I selected it and how I’ve found opportunities to share it with others. Are you enjoying your collection of verses too?

I’ve enjoyed your emails and your comments about the scripture memorization this year. If you participated in the Loving Well study with us, then you might remember Beth Moore sharing her own memorization techniques. She was deep into her memorization when God called her out for this important lesson….The Hairbrush.

Please see Beth Moore’s 22st scripture memory verse on her blog.

We’d like you to share your scripture memory verse below. Post a comment with your name, where you are from and the verse you’re memorizing.

SSMT Verse 21

We’re ending the year of Scripture Memorization with just a few more verses towards our goal of 24. What amazes me is how fast the year has gone by. It’s been a year of joy, a year of trials, a year of blessings and a year of warfare. Throughout the past ten months, I have enjoyed every minute of time spent at the Womens Bible Cafe. With a sincere heart I must say I appreciate each and every one of you, I read all of your comments (more than 11,000 now) and I pray for you. God is good- He brings us together through the internet and social media.

As I was getting my haircut today the stylist asked me about my ministry. I told her one of the greatest benefits is lack of judgment and gossip. We’re not tempted to judge one anothers clothing or hair. We don’t see skin color, weight, beauty or other physical attributes. We see the spiritual life of of each other. We share our hearts, our history, our trials and our prayers. We are the Womens Bible Cafe, a community of women connected by a common interest: the Bible.

Please see Beth Moore’s 21st scripture memory verse on her blog.

Once again I invite you to share your scripture verses. Please post your name, location and verse below.

SSMT Verse 20

Can you believe we’re already on verse 20 of our scripture memorization! Just four more verses after this…it amazes me how fast this year is going by. Month by month, we’ve been filling our minds with scripture verses. God’s Word reminds us

Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 19 Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 20 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, 21 so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.  Deut 11:18-22 NIV

Bury these words into your hearts and minds, share them with others, and use them in spiritual warfare. The scripture verses are just as powerful today as they were originally written.

We’re on the 20th scripture verse for this year at the Womens Bible Cafe.  Please join us in Beth Moore’s Siesta Sister Memory Team (SSMT). On the 1st and 15th of each month, we each select an individual scripture verse to memorize. We write our verses down in a small notebook and read them through the month. By the end of 2011, we will have memorized a total of 24 scripture verses. To see what Beth Moore selected for her 20th SSMT verse, click here.

It’s time to post your scripture memory verse. Please write your name, location, verse and the bible translation you selected for your verse.

SSMT Verse 19

One of our goals this year at the Womens Bible Cafe is to memorize 24 scripture verses. We’re now on verse 19 and if you’re new to this site, it’s never too late to join us and start filling your heart and mind with God’s Word. Scripture verses are food four the soul and the more we feed off them, the easier it is to fight temptation and dissatisfaction in our lives. As a group we’ve been selecting scripture verses about peace, arming ourselves against the enemy, or lifting our burdens and giving them over to the Lord- just to name a few. Allow these thoughts and words to soak into your heart- and meditate on God’s Word daily.

We’re on the 19th scripture verse for this year at the Womens Bible Cafe. To see what Beth Moore selected for her 19th SSMT verse, click here.

It’s time to post your scripture memory verse. Please write your name, location, verse and the bible translation you selected for your verse.

SSMT Verse 18

For those who are participating in scripture memorization, we’re now on the 18th verse of this year.  If you’re new to the Womens Bible Cafe, please join us in Beth Moore’s Siesta Sister Memory Team (SSMT). On the 1st and 15th of each month, we each select an individual scripture verse to memorize. We write our verses down in a small notebook and read them through the month. By the end of 2011, we will have memorized a total of 24 scripture verses. To see what Beth Moore selected for her 18th SSMT verse, click here.

Many of you have been speaking of spiritual warfare lately, and you first noticed it when you started a new bible study or ministry. The devil is seeking to devour you with distractions, discouragement and disbelief- as we learned in the Beth Moore study. We know scripture memorization is an effective tool against the enemy’s tactics. As you begin to sense the spiritual war pouncing on you, fight back with your arsenal of verses. Satan knows the bible and the verses too…maybe better than you do. Arm yourself, carry the scriptures in your heart, mind and soul- and with all your strength- claim victory in Jesus name. Praying blessings over each of you as you read and memorize verses this week.

It’s's time to post your scripture memory verse. Please write your name, location, verse and the bible translation you selected for your verse.

SSMT Verse 16

Welcome back to scripture memorization as we select our 16th verse for 2011. We’re participating in Beth Moore’s Siesta Sister Memory Team (SSMT) and we’ve now memorized 15 verses so far this year. That’s quite an accomplishment- and it amazes me how quickly the year is going by! Many of my verses are now coming directly from our bible studies. As I’m reading along I will find a verse that really grabs my attention and I jot the four letters “SSMT” right there in my bible study workbook. At the end of the week, I review the lessons and look for the SSMT tags. There are so many wonderful verses…I then need to pray over them and ask the Holy Spirit to counsel me on the best verse for me to memorize. Now it’s time to jump over to Beth Moore’s Blog and see what’s up with Mama Beth! Here is her 16th verse:

Beth, Houston. “Therefore, get your minds ready for action by being fully sober, and set your hope completely on the grace that will be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed.” 1 Peter 1:13 The NET Bible

Now it’s time for you to post your memory verse. Be sure to include your name, location, verse and translation.

SSMT Verse 15

Once again its time to memorize a new scripture verse. We’re participating in Beth Moore’s Siesta Sister Memory Team (SSMT) and today we begin to memorize our 15th verse. I always enjoy reading Beth Moore’s newest memory verse, because she often includes updates on her ministry or her family. Her 15th scripture verse blog post is no exception, so be sure to visit to get the latest news on the Moore family.

As I’ve spent most of my summer reading new books, I often find a verse I want to memorize. You’ll find those four letters penciled in my book or bible study-SSMT- and I use it as a placemarker to return and revisit the scripture verse. Other times, I’ll be doing something on the computer and a scripture verse pops into my radar. When I see it I think “great SSMT verse for me!” So I jot it down. As a result of memorizing scripture verses I’ve now programed myself to be attentive for them throughout my day. I’m watching out for God’s Word and verses that speak into my heart! I hope you are enjoying the SSMT experience as much as I am!

Now it’s time for you to post your memory verse. Be sure to include your name, location, verse and translation. For fun, please share how you “found your verse.”
