Bible Cafe Etiquette
At the Bible Cafe, we have a few etiquette rules for each guest participating in womens online bible study here at the Cafe. Please review these important rules and make sure you have a clear understanding before you join us in the cafe. We have a zero tolerance for violations of these rules, which we established in 2009.
- Respect the Copyright of the Authors It is essential to respect the copyright of the individual authors we are studying. There is no tolerance for this, so we ask that you exclude specific book references and published materials from your posts. You’ll need to purchase the individual workbook necessary for this online study, and then join us in an active discussion of the Womens Bible Study. We can’t publish their work, videos, etc. without written permission from the publishers. Please respect the work of the authors.
- Respect Privacy of Others It’s tempting in a Womens Bible Study to share information as we pray for one another. We ask that you consider and respect the privacy of individuals, including your family, spouse, children, teachers, coworkers and anyone you’re praying for. Please ensure your post does not violate their privacy with too much detailed information. It’s okay to link to a public Caring Bridge page or similar site where the individual has provided their personal information. It’s not okay to discuss someone else on this website. You can protect your own privacy by creating a unique identity. We never provide your email address, phone, or personal information and we certainly don’t sell your contact information. For this study to be effective, it needs to be safe.
- We Have the Right to Moderate all Posts Once you read rule one and two, you understand why we need to moderate the comments on this online Women’s Bible Study. We have zero tolerance for a violation of privacy or copyrights. If your post did not appear, you should rewrite the post to meet the Bible Cafe rules. If you continue to violate the rules, you will be prohibited from posting comments.
- You Can’t Sell Stuff or Promote Your Business This is a serious online Bible Study for Women. We’re not here to shop for products, we’re here to study the Bible. You’ll see some sponsor ads along the edges of the site, those sponsors support this site. Our content pages and reader comments are excluded from advertising, product reviews and product promotions. Do not join us if you want to sell a product or network for business opportunities. This is a committed group of women who desire to study the word of God in a safe and convenient environment.
