The Dance by Dan Walsh and Gary Smalley, Book Review

thedanceThe Dance by Dan Walsh and Gary Smalley is worth reading! This book of restoration details the story of a marriage in crisis and how it impacts all the members of a family. After 27 years of marriage, the lead character Marilyn Anderson is exhausted from her role as a homemaker and seeks excitement and fulfillment. We follow her journey of separation and the impact it has on her husband, church friends, and adult children.

In the story we learn how Marilyn breaks free from resentment and bitterness towards her husband. We see how her husband Jim dances alongside her in his own self-discovery, and where they find common ground.  It’s a beautiful story of finding yourself inside your circumstances and putting God first above all, even your spouse.

This novel combines the skills of author Dan Walsh and relationship expert Gary Smalley. The book is based on the principles of the DNA of Relationships, as well as other relationship and marriage books written by Mr. Smalley.  Other novels will follow in the Restoration Series.
