Welcome back to the Women’s Bible Cafe as we study Share Jesus Without Fear by William Fay. We’ve just finished our third week of study, we’ll take a break next week and return to our final week after Christmas. I hope you’ll have the opportunity to share what you have learned as we prepare to Celebrate Christ on December 25. This of all the preparations you are doing for Christmas- the shopping, decorating and cooking. Then think about the preparation needed to share the gospel as we’ve learned in our study these past three weeks.
We learned how to mark our Bibles and let the Spirit speak. William Fay writes “You are in the page-turning business at this point. Your one goal is to stay out of God’s way.” Watch God working in the lost person. Listen and pray.
Once someone accepts Jesus, don’t neglect them. Help them find a local church, be available to answer questions and pray for the new Believer. Always let them see Christ working in you.
If your spouse is a nonbeliever, you might like these words of former atheist Lee Strobel: “I was jealous of Jesus! For the first time in our marriage, her emotional needs were increasingly being met by someone other than me- specifically, through her relationship with Christ. Since then, I have found this feeling is common among nonbleievers whose wives are Christians.” He was jealous of her church friends and her relationship with God. Jesus was his rival and became so strong in his wife’s life, that he wanted to investigate and disprove her. We know today that his plan failed. (Source: Surviving a Spiritual Mismatch in Marriage)
As you speak to the lost, remember these words from William Fay: “You cannot fail if you are obedient to witness. The decision of the lost person is based on her own freedom to choose as the Holy Spirit works in her life.”
Share your heart and let people see Jesus in you.
The anointing you received from Christ lives in you. You don’t need anyone to teach you something else. Instead, Christ’s anointing teaches you about everything. His anointing is true and contains no lie. So live in Christ as he taught you to do. 1 John 2:27 God’s Word
Our Prayer Wall is the place to reach out with your prayer needs and praise reports. Please visit the page and pray for those people who are asking for you to lift them up in prayer. Pray for the leaders of this study and the women in your small group.
Scripture Memory Verse of the Week
I came to you in weakness—timid and trembling. And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God. 1 Cor 2:3-5 NLT
