SSMT Verse 15

Once again its time to memorize a new scripture verse. We’re participating in Beth Moore’s Siesta Sister Memory Team (SSMT) and today we begin to memorize our 15th verse. I always enjoy reading Beth Moore’s newest memory verse, because she often includes updates on her ministry or her family. Her 15th scripture verse blog post is no exception, so be sure to visit to get the latest news on the Moore family.

As I’ve spent most of my summer reading new books, I often find a verse I want to memorize. You’ll find those four letters penciled in my book or bible study-SSMT- and I use it as a placemarker to return and revisit the scripture verse. Other times, I’ll be doing something on the computer and a scripture verse pops into my radar. When I see it I think “great SSMT verse for me!” So I jot it down. As a result of memorizing scripture verses I’ve now programed myself to be attentive for them throughout my day. I’m watching out for God’s Word and verses that speak into my heart! I hope you are enjoying the SSMT experience as much as I am!

Now it’s time for you to post your memory verse. Be sure to include your name, location, verse and translation. For fun, please share how you “found your verse.”

  1. Cindy, Arkansas ” I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.” Ephesians 1:18 New American Standard

  2. Sue Alice says:

One will say, “I belong to the Lord”; another will call himself by the name of Jacob; still another will write on his hand, “THE LORD’S” and will take the name of Israel. Isaiah 44:5

  3. Lauren, Kentucky: Psalm 119:130, KJV: The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
This verse was in one of the Bible studies I am working through (can’t remember which one) but when I read it, I thought… this is one of those. Because I am praying that God will give me more understanding of Him and also help me be filled with HIs light.
