Last week we asked you what Beth Moore book you wanted to study and we had three books that were almost equal in popularity. So we’ve narrowed the poll to these three books and we’re asking again- What Beth Moore Study Shall We Study? We’ll offer all three studies this year, and the order we study them will be determined by the votes received. So you are voting for the first Beth Moore study to start on September 14, 2010.
Please only vote once, thank you. This poll closes in exactly one week.
The three books we’re considering are:
A Womans Heart: Gods Dwelling Place (11 weeks)
Explore the fascinating account of the building of the Old Testament tabernacle, the significance of its intricate design, its pivotal role in God’s eternal plan, the grand fulfillment of its purpose by Jesus Christ, and its variety of meanings for your walk with God today. Perhaps no Old Testament event so dramatically illustrates God’s persistent desire to relate to His children as the building of the tabernacle in the wilderness. Through the tabernacle God initiated a deeper relationship with His Chosen People by bringing reconciliation and revealing His glory. And certainly, no Old Testament event so richly prefigures the coming of the true Tabernacle, Jesus Christ. You will be challenged to prepare your heart, like the holy of holies, to become a home for His love and glory — a dwelling place for the Most High God. (source: Lifeway.com)
Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit (10 weeks)
In-depth women’s Bible study of the fruit of the Holy Spirit as presented in the book of Galatians. Beth walks participants through each trait listed in the fruit and encourages women to know the freedom of a Spirit-filled life. Through this study participants will look at the supernatural aspects of the fruit and that you cannot grow, learn, or produce the fruit on your own. Beth challenges you to develop the fruit by maintaining an intimate relationship with the Spirit of God. A Spirit-filled life truly results in living beyond yourself. (source: Lifeway.com)
Stepping up Through Psalms: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent (7 weeks)
In-depth women’s Bible study of Psalms 120-134. Traveling pilgrims sang these psalms both on the way to the great festivals of the LORD and as key elements of the worship at those festivals. Just as a song or poem can express feelings of fear, doubt, hope, and joy, these 15 psalms model how we can voice our own petitions and praises to our God, who is always available and ready to hear us. Explore the major feasts of Israel and journey with Beth through this 7-session study. Themes of unity, joy, gratitude, redemption, repentance, the power of blessings, facing ridicule, and more are explored in detail. Modern-day believers in Jesus Christ can learn much from these treasured Psalms in their journey toward greater intimacy with God. (source: Lifeway.com)
