New Bible Study- Living Beyond Yourself Starts Sept 14

We’ll start a new womens online bible study on September 14, 2010 and we’ll be reading Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruits of the Spirit by Beth Moore. This is a 10-week bible study ending the last week of November, then we’ll study the life of Jesus in December. For a list of all scheduled studies, please click here.

About the Workbook

Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruit of The Spirit – Member Book by Beth Moore provides a personal study experience five days a week  of this in-depth women’s Bible study of the fruit of the Holy Spirit as presented in the book of Galatians. Beth walks participants through each trait listed in the fruit and encourages women to know the freedom of a Spirit-filled life. Through this study participants will look at the supernatural aspects of the fruit and that you cannot grow, learn, or produce the fruit on your own. Beth challenges you to develop the fruit by maintaining an intimate relationship with the Spirit of God. A Spirit-filled life truly results in living beyond yourself. (source: Lifeway.com)

To participate in this study, you’ll need the member workbook. Audio CD’s are available to purchase if you want the entire teaching of the study, or you can purchase individual MP3 sessions for those sessions that you want study deeper. Because of the expense of the audio sessions, they are optional though highly recommended.

  1. Clara says:

I hope I am not too late to join this study. I am from Roanoke, TX. I am a mother of two ( a three year old boy and a 10 month old girl). I am also an athletic trainer working full time for a local high school. I work 60+ hours a week in addition to taking care of my family and find it hard to make it to woman’s bible studies. I have never done an online bible study, but this looked very interesting. I desperately need to get back into the Word and get my priorities back in order. I am hoping this study will help me delve into God’s Word and sharing thoughts with other Godly women. As far as reality TV shows go, I couldn’t tell you the last time I got to watch TV. I used to watch Ace of Cakes and always wanted to be able to make great cakes like they do.

  2. Jaylea AKA Jill says:

Hi Everyone! I’m Jill also know as Jaylea, I answer to both :) I live in California, just north of LA in a beach town. I’m brand new to online Bible Studies, but have been a regular at other Bible Studies. Unfortunately, my schedule is such that I cannot be a part of a regularly meeting study…I travel way too much, so this is perfect! I’m really excited!!! This is probably good for me too cause I’m a real talker, so I can type away and not worry about talking too much :) I’m newly divorced and not sure what to do with all my newly found free time….life is definitely not what I ever expected but God is good!!! And he has a plan for me, I just have to be patient and trust in Him.

My job requires that I spend a lot of time online so I’m on twitter a lot (@jaylea805) and I love to chat…if that wasn’t obvious :) I’m really looking forward to getting to know all of you wonderful ladies! This will be my first Beth Moore study, but I LOVE her!! I’m on her blog and read her devotional, just haven’t had the opportunity to do one of her studies, so I’m super excited!

As for a Reality Show….I don’t know, I don’t watch TV, sorry….I just don’t have time, but if there’s one out there about make-up and making girls feel wonderful about themselves, I’d want to be on that one….as the host. :)

Hi! I love the idea of this. I’m still a little confused about how it works but looking forward to being involved in a women’s bible study again. It’s been a while. ;-) I would want to be on Project Runway or So You Think You Can Dance. Even though I really can’t sew or dance, I like to watch others do it!

  4. Andra says:

I would want to be on, “The Biggest Loser.” I have led this study before, but feel that it is a great opportunity to be “LED” through it again.

  5. suzanne says:

Hi. My name is Suzanne. I live in Southern CA, Orange County. I hope and pray that I will have the computer common sense to know how to participate in this online study. I’m very excited about the possibility. I’m married with 4 children 16,14,13,9. I’ve done this Beth Moore study before and it really impacted my life. Reality show: American Idol – wish I could sing. I was just telling my sister that I sound best when I’m lip syncing. Biggest Loser – I struggle with 30 extra pounds. Amazing Race – love the challenge and travel, but don’t have the street/travel smarts.

  6. Mary says:

    Hi ladies,

I’ve done this study before a couple years ago, but I’m looking forward to going through it again — and I’m hoping to catch up quickly. I’m new to online study groups, but I’m hopeful that the environment will be loving and encouraging.

  7. Alethia says:

    Hey Everybody,
I’m from Maine and have done different Beth Moore studies but never on-line. I know I”m late starting this one but I’ve done it before and hoping to catch up quickly. Looking forward to doing it along with so many other ladies.
Married and have two kids 17 and 13.
If I could be on a reality TV show it would probably be Master Chef or Next Food Network Star or any of the other food related shows. I love to cook and have people in my home.
I’m a pastor’s wife and looking for connection outside of my normal circle–this should be fun! :-)
