New Bible Study- Living Beyond Yourself Starts Sept 14

We’ll start a new womens online bible study on September 14, 2010 and we’ll be reading Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruits of the Spirit by Beth Moore. This is a 10-week bible study ending the last week of November, then we’ll study the life of Jesus in December. For a list of all scheduled studies, please click here.

About the Workbook

Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruit of The Spirit – Member Book by Beth Moore provides a personal study experience five days a week  of this in-depth women’s Bible study of the fruit of the Holy Spirit as presented in the book of Galatians. Beth walks participants through each trait listed in the fruit and encourages women to know the freedom of a Spirit-filled life. Through this study participants will look at the supernatural aspects of the fruit and that you cannot grow, learn, or produce the fruit on your own. Beth challenges you to develop the fruit by maintaining an intimate relationship with the Spirit of God. A Spirit-filled life truly results in living beyond yourself. (source: Lifeway.com)

To participate in this study, you’ll need the member workbook. Audio CD’s are available to purchase if you want the entire teaching of the study, or you can purchase individual MP3 sessions for those sessions that you want study deeper. Because of the expense of the audio sessions, they are optional though highly recommended.

What You Need to Do to Participate

  • Print the Answers to the Viewer Guide

  1. Christine says:

My name is Christine and I will be leading this study. This will be my second time studying Living Beyond. I’m from California, about 1 hour from San Francisco. I’d want to be on the Project Runway show because I’m creative and I enjoy fashion. Shark Tank and Celebrity Apprentice would be close contenders for my television presence ;-) You’d never find me on Survivor…I’m not fond of dirty hair and eating bugs.

    • Meg says:

Are you in the San Jose area? :D

    • Michele says:

Hello everyone, I’m a little late but hope to catch up quickly. I live in North Carolina, closer to the beach than the mountains, but both are only a short drive away. I’d want to be on American Idol because I love music and love to sing….but I’d only make it to the first round of shows (you know the ones where they show the really bad singers so people will tune in and laugh). Anyway, I’m excited about delving into this study and “meeting” everyone.

      • Muz says:

My mom lives in the New Bern area — gorgeous part of the country! I was born in NC, so I like to say, “NC . . . birthplace of Billy Graham and Muz!” Lol!

  2. Dana says:

Howdy women! My name is Dana and this is the first on-line study I’ve ever done! Actually, it’s the first group study I’ve ever done and I am very much looking forward to it. I live in Hamilton, Ontario Canada and I love it. I’m a full time Social Service Worker, (in the field of mental health and addictions), part time University student, recovering addict and a new Christian (although I grew up in a very Christian household). Looking forward to this!

  3. Jamie says:

My name is Jamie. I have this workbook at home. YEARS ago, I bought it and went to one class at a church that I don’t even go to anymore. I didn’t “get” Beth Moore then… Interestingly, a couple years ago I tried her out again and fell in love with her teaching style. She makes me hungry for more of Gods’ Word! I struggle with finding Bible studies in my area that I can attend. So, I am anxious to try this method online. Timing couldn’t be more perfect because I’ll be out of town the first of September but get back on September 13th. Oh, and I live in Texas. I am the mother to two teenagers, a weiner dog, and two cats :) I work full-time as a social worker (I do in home services with children and families with a faith based organization). And the reality show I want to be on….don’t laugh….is “How to Look Good Naked”…I don’t think it is on the air anymore, and it wasn’t x-rated or anything. It helped women develop a healthy body image….

  4. Tina says:

    Hello Ladies
My name is Tina. I live in Port Saint Lucie, FL I am stay at home wife, no kids and I have four cats.
I have done other Beth Moore studies and they are great!! I am looking for ward to the new study, this is coming at a right time in my life.
Hmm a reality tv show I would be and why….I would have to say Survivor…To not only challenge myself but to show how BIG GOD is,,,With GOD all things are possible!!

    Tina

  5. Jeanne Heinrichs says:

Christine, I also live about an hour from SF (San Jose). Hmmmm…..could we be neighbors? I started this course in 2007 at church but never finished it. I am hoping that I can actually complete it this time around. I have no desire what so ever to be on any reality show, sorry. Life gives me enough of a challenge without getting involved with those shows. I am an assistant/receptionist for a CPA. I am also an artist in training, taking an online art class. I am married (33 years), we have 5 children between us, 14 grandchildren (#15 on its way) and one great grandchild. Our goal is to retire in Texas where half of the grandchildren live. I am looking forward to doing this Bible Study. Beth Moore is a wonderful teacher of the Bible.

  6. Sue Schwendemann says:

    Hello everyone:
My name is Susan and I live in Terre Haute, IN about 75+ miles southeast from Indianapolis, IN. I am currently doing the Jonah study with my sister online. We will both be doing the Beth Moore study in Sept.(she lives 95+ miles away in Greenwood, IN.) And the reality show I like to be on is…. Survivor, this has to do something with eating dirt out of a spoon as a kid maybe? Blessing to all. Hoping to get to know all of you.

  7. Melissa says:

Hi, Melissa from Sydney, Australia. I have been doing BethMoore studies
for many years – her teaching has changed my life! I would
love to be on The Secret Millionaire – the feeling of giving
away lots of money to unsuspecting people in need would
surely be the best! Masterchef too as I enjoy cooking!
    Blessings from Oz
