My Father’s Presence (Day 10.5)

It’s the last day of study for Breaking Free Updated Edition, as we conclude our workbook lessons today. Beth begins the lesson with her tears and love for each woman participating in the study, Breaking Free. We’re in the Presence of Our Father, we’re Daughters of the King, and we are bathing in freedom. That’s worth my tears too!
Can you feel the Presence of the Father in your life? He has engraved truth into your hearts, mind and soul…His Truth…His Word…His Love.
When you walk in the Presence of the Father, you walk with your eyes centered on Him, your heart centered on Christ and your strength centered on the Word. You walk by faith, not by sight.
May you be blessed in His Presence, reflecting His glory and His love inside you…to everyone that you encounter.
Freed from captivity, may you share your plunder with others and witness His love in you.
Beloved, may you KNOW the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit- as you walk upon this earth in freedom.
Put on your crown, straighten your back, and walk like a Daughter of the King.
Prayer Requests
Read this prayer: 2 Samuel 22:2-4
The LORD is (your name) rock, (your name) fortress and (your name) deliverer; my God is (your name) rock, in whom (your name) takes refuge, (your name) shield and the horn of (your name) salvation. He is (your name) stronghold, (your name) refuge and (your name) savior— from violent men you save (your name). I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.
And this one: Isaiah 40:28-31
Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Beth Moore Quotes
- When we’re most exhausted, we’ll find we’re expending more energy fighting the enemy than we are seeking God’s presence-Beth Moore
- You’ll never be more beautiful to God than when He can look down and see you hanging on to Him for dear life-Beth Moore
- We never find freedom from bondage in independence. We find it by taking the same handcuffs that once bound us to sin and binding ourselves to the wrist of Christ-Beth Moore
Today’s Scripture Verses
The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1
What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. Philippians 3:8-9
The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners, [a
to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.
They will rebuild the ancient ruins
and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
that have been devastated for generations.
Group Discussion
What has been the most memorable experience of the Breaking Free study? Without looking back at the book, what lesson has imprinted most in your heart, and why? What did you learn about yourself?
In Freedom,

Without looking back??? oh, that’s a hard one, as they all blended together and built on each other to make the study complete, for me…I remember learning that turning from something was more than just that, turning and repenting, that we also needed to get on God’s side and see from His side, or we would be doing our walk merely out of obedience, and not with the right heart attitude. I especially liked the last tape, where she speaks of the fact that there may be people that we need to break from in order to break free… and that is not often spoken of in the Christian context of loving others. It seems that we emphasize love, and sometimes the loving thing to do is to break free and get yourself healthy. This has been a difficult study, but a rewarding one and I feel that I have grown more from this one than many others. Thank you for hosting Christine, and I look forward to the one you suggested some time ago that will start in May?, I think? They are all good and I urge others to get involved and share thoughts and concerns as we learn from each other as well. God bless!
My most memorable sessions were in the beginning when Beth explained the five benefits of my covenant relationship with God, and then the OBSTACLES that keep me from realizing the benefits. She opened my eyes to pride and idol worship and now I see the word through a different set of lenses…Christ’s view, rather than my view. What a change this is making for me.
If you have time, be sure to go to Lifeway and post a review of the Updated Version of Breaking Free. It helps the author and encourages others to read the book!
I’m one of those who has to contemplate things I’ve found sometimes for days, sometimes months, and yes there are some I’ve been contemplating for years to hear from God about. This study freed me in many areas, convicted me in some areas, and comforted me in many. As they say in a 12 step program, “My life had become unmanageable”. That’s what I’ve been dealing with with chronic pain for the last four years that I’m told will be forever unless God divinely heals me which He can do or I can allow him to use me in my pain until. I’ve released to him everything that I had taken back upon myself in the last few years. My love for Him and His word has been refreshed–my desire to see others freed is renewed, and my service for Him has been redeemed. I am thankful for everything He has brought me by being obedient and taking this. There were times when I didn’t like stirring up old hurts but I forced myself to persevere and to trample the enemy under my foot. Praise the Lord for this and I praise the Lord for others who stuck it out and those who are still studying this and those to come. May we be strong women of faith and His humble servants.
I am behind – just finishing up tonight, but can’t get to the Viewer Guide to finish the last CD. Is there some way I can get the answers to session 11?
Congratulations on Breaking Free Pat!
