Welcome back to the Bible Cafe and the last week of our study, Breaking Free Updated Edition. This entire week is a recap of the five benefits of a covenant relationship with God, and today we focus on the second benefit: God’s glory.
Today we discover on a word not common in modern language: plunder. Beth even asks us on page 228 to share our own plunder. What is it?
Definition of plunder (from Dictionary.com)
- rob of goods or valuables by open force, as in war, hostile raids, brigandage, etc.: to plunder a town.
- to rob, despoil, or fleece; to plunder the public treasury
- to take wrongfully, as by pillage, robbery, or fraud; to plunder a piece of property

Father, how generous you’ve been, bringing us out of our captivity and leading us to the Prince of Peace. Not only have you kept your covenant with us, you’ve blessed us richly with great possessions and opportunity to reinvest your gifts. Thank you, Father, for sharing your love with us.
