When I Grow Up…I Want to Be a Mommy (Day 6.4)

We’re still Breaking Free in our Beth Moore Bible study and looking at the four key desires we had as young girls: to be a bride, to be beautiful, to be a Mommy and to live happily every after. Today we examine the desire to be a Mommy when we grow up.
Many women have experienced motherhood through natural birth or adoption. We know other women who are unable to birth children or decide not to become mothers. As children claiming “I want to be when I grow up…” we expressed our wishes to live a particular lifestyle and then as adult women we find that lifestyle may have changed.
When we consider why most little girls want to me a mommy when they grow up, we see that many desire to teach, love and nurture others. God shows us this is possible even if you are not a mother, and Beth emphasises the spiritual calling to lead and guide younger women to be spiritual daughters of the King.
Prayer Requests
Father God, you have called us to singleness, childlessness, or motherhood and you have called us to be spiritual women and leaders. Teach us to grow and share our spiritual maturity with others. May your glory shine through our beauty and your Words, in Jesus name. Amen.

Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God. Titus 2:4-5
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. Breaking free,

i really can’t think of a time, i’m a simple person. the only thing that comes to mind is when we bought our first home BUT it doesn’t quite fall into the subject we are talking about…well maybe it does…
i wanted another child after having 2 boys but the hubby said no, not until we buy a house. well when we did (something we wanted so bad) we felt roped into getting the house. it was the first house we saw but the Realtor said make an offer NOW! so we did and we got it. Then we had the third child and then the house started to fall apart (not satisfied). mold in the kitchen. we felt it wasn’t safe for the children and we let the house foreclose. now we live in a small cottage and are happy. the bills are not piling up.
did that answer your question???
