Making the Choice

This is the beginning of the Sanctity of Human Life Week and Brooke McGlothlin is celebrating all week long with abortion survivor stories. All week long, men and women will share their abortion stories. When men and women stand up for the rights of the unborn and the sanctity of life, they will also attract the unwanted attention of the enemy. Please pray for those men and women who are speaking truth this week. Even if you have not been personally affected by abortion, I invite you to follow the series and know the abortion statstics. Why?

  • Approximately 115,000 unborn babies are aborted each DAY. There are 42 million abortions performed each year. 93% of those abortions are for social reasons-child is unwanted or inconvenient. (Source: abortion stats)
  • With one in three women now having abortions, you may be in a position to counsel a young man or young woman. Knowing you are a Woman of Faith, these young people may come to you for guidance and trust. Do you have enough knowledge and the right words to counsel them. Inform yourself, by reading the blog series.
  • With one in three women having abortions, you may have a friend living with a painful secret. She is unable to speak or share her shame and she does reveal her past, she may feel safe in your presence. Learn from other men and women survivors and those who have healed from their past abortions-read the blog series.
  • With one in three women having abortions, you may be the mother of a daughter or son, niece or nephew, granddaughter or grandson-considering an abortion or counseling a peer who is contemplating an abortion. This blog series will provide resources and solutions to a life-changing event.
  • With one in three women having abortions, you may struggling with your own past abortion, the abortion of a friend or past abortion of your spouse. The blog series is about healing from the shame and celebrating the Sanctity of Human Life.

I’ve shared my thoughts about this blog series and reasons why I believe all men and women should follow during the week. Brooke, the bog author, has asked us to keep her in prayer as she writes the daily blog posts, responds to reader comments and faces attacks by Pro-Choice supporters.

On behalf of Brooke and the unborn children, I humbly ask for your prayers during Sanctity of Life Week.

I cannot thank you enough for your prayers and support. Above all else, please pray that the Lord will lead those who need this series to it…right time, right place. I’m asking the Lord to use it to bring healing. Both to those who have suffered the pain of abortion and among those who have such painful differing opinions on the issue.
