Life and Peace (Day 9.5)

It’s the last day of week nine in Breaking Free Updated Edition and we continue to fill our heart, mind and spirit with the truth of scripture. Every lesson this week has been richly filled with knowledge and power to fight strongholds. Each lesson has been important to the next and each lesson has been powerful. Are you still breaking free, releasing strongholds and experiencing God’s amazing and forgiving love for you?
Prayer Requests
We pray to the Father, for a keen awareness of our thoughts and strongholds that are holding us captive. Our heart’s desire is to feed and nourish our minds with truth from scripture, and wear this truth into any battlefield. As we yield to your control and Presence in our lives, we seek life and peace in Your name. Amen.

Today’s Scripture Verses
The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace. Romans 8:6

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5
Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God. Romans 8:5-8

But foremost is “love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.” then you can “love others as yourself”. In that order. We need to place God above others, and when we do we can love others with His love, the way He meant it to be.
