Breaking Stronghold Cords (Day 9.2)

At our Bible Cafe, we continue to break free from strongholds. Breaking Free Updated Edition by Beth Moore, has clearly defined strongholds and solutions to breaking free from them. Today we continue our study of the mind and captivity from strongholds. As Beth says “I’ve learned to dramatically increase my prayer life and time in God’s Word during times when my security is threatened.”
We often call on prayer warriors for courage, as we face fear and insecurity. Yet God wants us to turn to Him and call on Him. Neglecting God during crisis, explodes our fear and confusion, when we need Him most. Are you surrendering to Him with your precious fears and insecurity?
Prayer Requests
Father we thank you for leading us into freedom as we continue to study Breaking Free. Keep us centered and focused this week as we study your words and learn to overcome strongholds that are holding us captive as prisoners. Assist each of us in the study as we Break Free. Amen.

Breaking free,
I shared yesterday, but want to add that fasting is an important tool in the breaking of strongholds. When disciples were unable to perform a miracle Jesus said that this kind can only be cast out by fasting and prayer. So, I think there are certain areas where we need to add fasting to our other disciplines, of prayer, study and accountability fellowship.
I would not have made it through this holiday without leaning on other friends and the Lord’s strength. It was painful, first holidays apart, but Lord is faithful as well, and has held me during this walk. If anything, I’m learning to fall into Him, and to those who know Him. Run to them, rather than running back, and run to His Word!
