What’s New at the Bible Study Cafe?

We’re adding more treats to the Bible Study Cafe as we start Breaking Free with Beth Moore. Here’s what’s new in the Bible Cafe for our Winter Bible Study.
Scripture Memory
In the back of your workbook are Scripture Cards for each week of this study. Beth Moore is asking you to memorize one verse each week. Carry the scripture card and memorize the words to enhance your Bible study. You’ll also see a few tweets on Twitter from Charmaine, with the verse of the week! Follow us Twitter.com/BibleCafe
Beth Moore Quotes
In this study, we’re going to include a section called Beth Moore Quotes. When I looked online for a list of quotes from Beth, none were available, so we’re going to start our own list. You may want to get a pretty little journal or notebook and start collecting these Beth Moore quotes. Then, when you are sending a card to a friend, lifting up others in faith, or inviting someone to join you in Bible study- you have a resource to use.
Bible Cafe “Shepherd”
Also included in this study is an accountability partner called the Shepherd. You will have days when you feel like straying from the Breaking Free study. The Shepherd will guide you back to your goals. She will also pray with you and encourage you as you break free from strongholds. Theresa has offered to be our Shepherd for Breaking Free and will be available if you need gentle reminders to stay on track with your study.
Prayer Wall
You’ve noticed the prayer wall with photos of three children, Kate McRae, Stellan and Terrell. Kate’s father is a pastor and has asked us to pray for his young daughter on her third round of chemo for a brain tumor. We’re asking you to pray for Stellan, just celebrating his first birthday and battling childhood heart disease. We’re also praying for Terrell, a four year old boy diagnosed with leukemia about two months ago. If you click on their photos, you’ll find updates on these children.

Christine:
Awesome (which seems to be my word of the day) that we have these “helps” during our study! So blessed to have found the Bible Cafe–a wonderful tool! I’ve decided recently that God definitely uses the WWW. I will pray for each of these beautiful babies on the prayer wall, and ask that you also lift up my son Aiden. He is 2 years, 4 months and a year ago was diagnosed with a rare disorder called Atypical HUS. AHUS only effects about 300 in the U.S. and very little is known about it. With AHUS, when Aiden’s immune system is stimulated (cold, flu, vaccine) it attacks not just the “bad stuff” (bacteria or virus) but also attacks the kidneys, red blood cells and platelets. There is no cure…causes are still being investigated and to be honest little is known although progress is being made. In his 2 short years Aiden has had 9 surgical procedures (the most recent in September to remove both kidneys) mutliple lengthy hospitalizations and requires 10-12 hours of dialysis at home daily. We ask that you lift him up as we pray for his stability, a cure and soon a new kidney! You can read more about Aiden on his website and blog at http://www.aidenscross.com . Thanks!
Thank you Christy, we’ll add your precious angel to our prayer wall.
Thanks so much Christine—we appreciate all of the prayers. They keep us and our little Toot going. He is such a blessing.
