Welcome back from the “Island of Misfit Thoughts!”

By now you’re releasing those unfit thoughts from your closet and replacing them with God’s Spirit. We’re learning that in order to hear the Truth and wisdom of God, we have to quiet our thought closet and listen. Sisters, spending time alone in Bible study and reading the Word will quiet the noise and allow God to speak to you. Make your Bible Study the first priority of each day. Get up an hour earlier if necessary and shower yourself with the love and the presence and the wisdom of His Spirit.

Answer this question from page 69 of the workbook:

Today’s Verses

And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago.  The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him. Ephesians 1:13-14 NLT

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? 1Corinthians 3:16

When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me. John 15:26

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever John 14:16

But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. John 14:26

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. John 16:13

And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 1 John 5:6

Prayer Requests

Keep praying for Lanie as she supports her Mom with Ovarian Cancer.

Father, we pray that the Holy Spirit will counsel us and reveal who Christ is. We ask that you help us understand when our thoughts do not match with the truth of your Word. May you lead each of us in truth. Amen.
